Change Primary E-mail Address

I tried to enter a new primary e-mail but the edit option only allows me to add additional e-mail address. The current primary address for my facebook account is [email protected] (In a few weeks I will no longer have access to this email account The new address I want my account switched to is: [email protected] By mistsake I entered a new account weith this email address. I don't want a new account. I want to chage the email address on my existing account from [email protected] to [email protected]

Facebook does not allow you to merge accounts. You need to copy your profile content (photos, notes, etc.) and add it manually to your more active account. Unfortunately, there will be some things you cannot transfer, such as Friends and Wall posts. Once you have moved all information onto a single account, you may deactivate your old account from the Settings tab of the Account page. Afterward, you can add email addresses and networks to your new account from the Account page.
