Account Suspended

Our account Forres Park has been disabled. Have tried to regain access with online help instructions. It is still not allowing us access. We have been going around in circles. We suspect that the account has been hacked. The security question and answer which we know is correct is not being accepted. Please advise. It is very hard for us to identify pictures as it is a corporate account.

Let me first start out by saying that I do NOT work for Facebook. Im a facebooker just like you. Sometimes people dont know that when they are posting their question, so I thought I would clear that up.

Unfortunatly, Facebook is quite spammed. All the time Facebook finds ways to stop spammers, and spammers find ways to trick facebook. Due to that, ordinary users like us can get penalized. Especially new users. Those that have an account for several years won't get penalized that easily.

You can always verify your account by the phone number. That way, they will cut you a little slack.

Facebook implement a policy called "Acceptable use"

They can set limits to how often you can use a feature.

If you use it too often, they can stop you from using it for a while. Not only is this to stop you from spamming other users, it's there to provide protection to facebook (too many requests can bring the server to its knees, which means facebook goes down).

I suggest you wait for the feature to be unlocked (Usually 24 hours), and then tone it down on the usage. This includes reseting passwords, or changing any information. If you send out to many friend requests, they can lock up your account. :(

I found this article on accounts being hacked. I hope it helps.

When you try to log in to your Facebook account you get a message saying Incorrect Email/Password Combination. I assume you have tried to recover your password using reset password feature. If not, click here to give it a try. If this won’t work there are good chances that your account has been hacked.

Follow these steps to recover your hacked Facebook account:

  1. Visit http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=hack_nologin_access
  2. (link updated on September 17th)

  3. Contact email address: enter your email address, if possible the same email you have registered account with
  4. Full name on the account: enter your full name on the account so they will be able to verify application
  5. Network(s) the account belongs to: try provide as many possible networks, including school, work network,…
  6. Email addresses that may be affiliated with the account: enter the same email you have created Facebook account with
  7. Your contact email address: use same email as you entered for step #2
  8. URL (web address link) of the profile page: simply copy/paste URL of your profile
  9. Description and steps to reproduce the issue: describe how your account got hacked/stolen, try to provide as many additional information as possible
  10. Submit “My Account Has Been Compromised” form

You will receive a reply shortly after Facebook staff review your application.
