how do i reset a flashing display panel on an epson workforce 845

I woke up this morning to find my entire printer front panel flashing.

This fixed it for me: I turned off the printer using the power button, opened it and gently slid the ink caddy all the way to the left, exposing its usual parking area.

I dabbed the floor of its parking area with wadded tissues and got up a little ink. I don't know if it matters, but MY tissues do not have lotion or fragrance. They are just plain old paper tissues from Costco. There seemed to be a little give in this area, like a blotter on springs.

I dabbed the floor of the printer area, moving the ink caddy to the right, to the point where I could fully open its cover as if to change a cartridge. The printer looked clean inside.

I extracted and reinstalled each ink cartridge in turn, then I closed the caddy cover, closed the printer and turned it on.

I don't know if all of these steps were necessary, but the thing started up, spent a while feeding ink, and then went "ready." It has been working normally since.
