Ink Pad Epson Stylus Nx125

Can I reset ink pad myself,my printer is still very good after 3 years and my warranty no longer applies

Greetings. With the printer is a sponge/cotton blogged that absorbed the ink each time the printhead nozzle were clean. This sponge/cotton block is now full and needs to be replace. The printer may need to be dissemble in an advanced way to access. After replacing this, a serie of keys must be pushed to clear the "Ik pad full" message. These key-combinations needed for clearing the message are usually kept secret by manuafacturers as they prefer to have their service centres replacing the ink pads.

This is one routine you can try. I don't have the info on that exact model but give this a try.

Hold down the Load/Eject button, The cleaning button. Press the Load/eject button again while the Paper End indicator light is flashing. Timing is the key to getting it right.

There is also an SSC utility downloadable from Epson.
