No Humidification

Fan runs and all lights appear normal but dehumidifier not working. No water in tank.

Dehumidifiers do not work well when the air temperature is lower than 40 degrees; they rely on a surface that is colder than the air to attract humidity. If the air temp is below 40 or so, the unit cannot get cold enough to attract sufficient moisture.

Initially, you are dehumidifying not only the moisture in the air but also what is in floor, walls, ceiling, and materials in the room. Once the humidity in the air decreases to a certain level, the moisture in the floor, walls, ceiling, and materials in the room will start to release their moisture into the air and dry out. Once all of this is done, the dehumidifier will need only to maintain the humidity, so there will be less moisture in the air to pull out. There is no water in the bucket because there is almost no humidity in the air.
