Hello rjbrindley - Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. Wait roughly ten minutes and turn on the dishwasher. Confirm that the door is properly latched and try selecting a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Unplug the dishwasher for five minutes.  Plug it back in, and press down at the far left of the control panel for 10 or more seconds.  The panel will come back on.  You can also turn the panel off this way as well.
