Control Panel Gasket Misfit

Electrolux Service Provider replaced the control panel because the far left clock digit would not indicate hours 10, 11or 12 correctly. The top left led light burn out. The service provider has not been able to fit the rubber gasket around the control panel properly. He keeps putting "proud" on top of the glass, but the gasket has a grooved indentation which looks like it was intended to receive the glass. Electrolux said their techs talk only to service providers---so I have no idea if this guy is competent.
