Very Hot Handle.
The handle behind the on/off switch is overheating. platic is melting behind the switch, and I have burnt my hand a few times.
How can I get information on how to repair the problem, my funds are limited and need to do the repair myself.
Vacuum was purchased in 2007 from Sam's club.

The wiring is crap.
Open and remove the handle. It requires a t-20 torque screwdriver (star head). You'll see some very scorched connectors. You'll need to pry those off, and solder the wires directly to the switch instead. If you can't solder, take it to an electronics or other repair shop or bribe a friend that does electronics.
