Dch253 Query

Hi there. I've just received my dch253m2 in the post and wondered about something. When I pull the chuck back, the control button on the side of the drill pulls back too and it feels as if all the internal parts of the drill move with it. Is this normal? Wouldn't it all move when I start drilling with it and putting pressure on it? Thanks
