These are the possible reasons and solutions for automatic restart problem of your Dell computer.

1. Virus Infection - this is the most common cause of auto restart of most computer units. Make sure that you have the latest and updated antivirus software installed in your computer system. Also, regularly perform a full system scan at least once every week to make sure of your computer security.

2. Hardware Failure - this is another possible problem of your computer restart. There might be improper connections or hardware failure in some parts of your computer system like Hard Disk Drive, Motherboard or Random Access Memory. In this case, you need a computer technician to determine the real problem of your computer.

3. Mistaken System Configuration - you might have set or installed a software which changed the settings of your computer. If your system restore is turned on, try to roll back the settings to its previous working settings of the system.
