Blinking Power Button Light
I found this monitor and brought it home, so I don't have any of the documentation on it. I also didn't have a power supply for it. I found the manual on dells website, as well as a troubleshooting guide, but there is no reference for why the power indicator would blink without actually turning on. The power supply I have used with it is only rated for 12v at 2 amps, but it was working fine for a few weeks before this problem started. The monitor label indicates it wants 12v at 3 amps. I found that when I took it apart to examine the board for any blow caps, I could get it to power on with the screen disconnected. Does this indicate that the monitor is fine, but the power supply is just too limited to run it? (possibly damaged the power supply?)
