• Outer riser: two PCIe x16 (one double wide), one PCIe x16 (wired x8)
• Center riser: choose one of the following options:
— one PCIe x16, one PCIe x16 (wired x8), (default riser option)
— one PCIe x16, one legacy 32-bit PCI
There is no specfic version level beyond that. The spec sheet ican be viewed here: http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/precn/en/dell-precn-r5500-spec-sheet.pdf

Dell specs the slot capabilities as follows:
- x4-slot bidirectional speed - 2 GB/s
- x8-slots bidirectional speed - 4 GB/s
- x16-slots bidirectional speed - 8 GB/s
Be aware when populating the expansion slots in the R5500 that for slots designated with 2 multipliers (PCIe x8/x16) the first multiplier is the actual PCIe capability of the slot and the second is the type of connector used for the slot. An x8/x16 slot has x8 speed and lane capability but the motherboard connector is a full PCIe x16 connector.
Cheers!
