Thanks for the post. To enable Wi-Fi on your system I would first make sure the systems drivers are all installed correctly, checking that the card is seen in the device manager. If needing an update the latest drivers can be downloaded here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/precision-m4500/drivers
After installing the updates available the system has 2 main ways of disabling/enabling the Wi-Fi hardware its self. This would be through the Switch on the side of the unit and by disabling in the systems BIOS. To check the BIOS switch power up the system and repeatedly press <F2> on the dell splash screen, this should take you into the BIOS menu: http://bit.ly/1qBKBmD The Wireless feature should be checked if enabled.
