How To Remove A Bios Password On A Dell Inspiron One 2320

You need to remove the battery from the mother board. There is a small battery, like a watch battery, on the mother board, but it is not an easy task getting to it..

You'll probably need to download instructions for taking the cabinet apart.

When you find the battery, remove it for an hour or so. Put it back in and reassemble. The password will be gone.

In order to clear a BIOS level password on this system you will need to reset using the password jumpers on the motherboard, here’s how to do it.

Clearing Forgotten Passwords - Inspiron 2320 AIO

CLR_Password

(2-3) Default

  1. Remove the computer cover.
  2. Locate the 3-pin password connector (CLR_Password) on the system board.
  3. Remove the 2-pin jumper plug from pins 2 and 3 and fix it on pins 1 and 2.
  4. Wait for approximately five seconds to clear the password.
  5. Remove the 2-pin jumper plug from pins 1 and 2 and replace it on pins 2 and 3 to enable the password feature.
  6. Replace the computer cover.
  7. Restart the system.
