If you have forgotten your Windows Pasword you will either need to purchase a 3rd party program to recover the password or perform a Factory Restore. The restore feature will delete all your information and put the system back to factory condition. The steps to perform the restore are below.
Dell Factory Image RestoreThe Dell™ Factory Image Restore tool replaces PC Restore. Access it from theboot menu. Boot the system up and press the F8 key until you have options to choose from on the screen. Choose "Repair Your Computer" follow the prompts to restore.
If it is the Bios password you will need to contact Dell Support and have them issue you a generic bios password.
