Based on your description, this is maybe related to the internatl power supply of your Dell Inspiron N5110 laptop. Unfortunately, the only solution for this is replacement of the power supply which should be done by a computer expert from the service/repair center. I suggest that you bring the product to the repair center.

Hi,

I work for Dell's Social Media Team. If there is a LED light on the AC adapter, and if the light goes off when connected to the laptop, means a motherboard failure. If you have an active warranty, or need a quote, I recommend you follow me on Twitter @RoyanAtDell and send me a private message with your Service Tag.

Thank you.
