Hi,

My name is Rathish and I am working with Dell Social Media Team.

You have mentioned in the post that your Vostro A860 laptop computer is not charging.

We can try few steps which might fix the issue-

The first step which we would try is to remove the power cable from the laptop and also the battery. Then without the battery and power cable press and hold the power button for 15- 20 seconds and release it.

Please insert the battery and power cable back on the computer and start the computer up. Let’s  see if that fixes the issue

If still the issue is coming up. Please let me know if you get any kind of error on the screen.

Also we can try and update the Bios of the computer. To update please click on the link below-

http://dell.to/MRzuoV

Please download and install the bios on the computer.

Please also let me know the operating system which you are using. So that I can help you further

 Thanks & Regards,
