Compressor Works Only On Initial Plug-in
The compressor stopped working. After some fiddling around, I discovered that the compressor will work only by the following method:
1. Press on/off button to turn off dehumidifier then unplug it from the electrical outlet.
2. Plug the dehumidifier into the electrical outlet, then press the on/off button to turn the machine on.
3. Keep pressing the down arrow to set the relative humidity lower until the compressor comes on.
This is the only way I can get the thing to work. If I just press the button to turn the machine off and then on, the compressor never comes on. I tried it for 12 hours and NO WATER and the compressor never came on.
Then, when I press the on/off button to turn the machine off, then unplug it, then plug it in again, then press the on/off button to turn it on, then set the humidity until the compressor is activated.
Can someone explain why this is happening and how it can be fixed?

Does the compressor keep on working after you get it to start?
NO. After a short while (less than a minute), the compressor stops working and only the fan continues to run.
