Why My Direct Tv Remote Will Not Pause

Hi, if you don't have a DV-R or a hard drive in your receiver, your remote won't pause because there is no way for it to save the current show. However, if you do have a DV-R and/or hard drive and it won't pause (but it will do other functions) you may just need to reprogram your remote.
