Dmc-300sc Converter Not Working

i have a DMC-300sc media converter which when i connect them back to back with a single mode fiber cord they don't communicate. I have also used a multimode cable connecting to a cisco catalyst 2950 gigabitethernet port and the port on the switch is not showing any LEDs. any one who might have experienced the same problem ? and probably a solution.

You can se that DMC-300sc is 100BaseFX/TX multimode media converter. It means that you can not use singlemode fiber cable for connection. This is because emitting diode can not insert enough light into the fiber that has 9 microns core. Try with multimode cable with 50 or 62,5 microns core.

Regarding connection with gigabit Cisco, you can not connect it because DMC is 100BaseFX and Cisco has port that is 1000BaseFX so thay can not communicate with each other. You should use 100BaseFX multimode, plug in GBIC for Cisco.
