Based on your description, I believe that the problem is related to the compatibility of your D-Link DIR-645 to your Windows 8 Operating System. Remember that Windows 8 Operating System is a new released version of Windows. If you can downgrade your computer, please try Windows 7. Also consider reading the user's manual for additional information.
