The Cub Cadet 3X takes 2 quarts of SAE 30 oil. You can use any brand of oil that meets the API service classification SF or higher.
Here are the steps on how to change the oil in a Cub Cadet 3X:
Park the lawn mower on a level surface.
Turn off the lawn mower and let it cool down.
Remove the oil drain plug.
Place a pan under the drain plug to catch the old oil.
Allow the old oil to drain completely.
Replace the oil drain plug.
Remove the oil filler cap.
Add 2 quarts of new oil to the engine.
Replace the oil filler cap.
Start the lawn mower and let it run for a few minutes.
Check the oil level and add more oil if necessary.
It is important to change the oil in your lawn mower regularly to keep it running smoothly and prevent engine damage. You should change the oil every 25 hours of use or once a year, whichever comes first.
Here are some additional tips for changing the oil in a Cub Cadet 3X:
Use a funnel to prevent spills.
Make sure that the oil level is between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
Do not overfill the engine with oil.
