Does Cricket Phone Warranty Cover Phone Battery?

we just got our new ZTE Chorus phones yesterday and three of them work but the fourth one wont turn on, not even when its on the chager. when we out a different battery in it it turns on and works just fine. will the 1 year warranty cover the battery since we just got the phone and it hasnt even been used?
