To Respond To An Ad I Have Select Certain Photos

About 2 years ago, Craigslist started requiring me to select certain images before I could respond to an ad. Now Craigslist doesn't make me do that anymore. Just curious why they initially started that requirement and now 2 years later, they don't anymore.

Craigslist may have required this so that the poster of the ad knew what images you were refering to in your response. I think this was later removed because it was confusing.
