Phone Verification Issue

I have an iphone 5c and it is currently contracted with Verizon. I use this same phone for all business and personal call/texts use. However, craigslist is not recognizing this phone number as an active phone for verifiation. I have messaged them 2x already about this issue, but I am not able to resolve the issue because it is an automated response, which does not answer my question. Do you know why my phone is not being verified by craigslist? Thank you.

Craigslist will not accept all phone numbers for verification. It has listed the following as phone numbers it will not accept (although the criteria can change). If your phone number falls into one of these categories, that's probably your answer:

phone numbers from outside the U.S. or Canada
pre-paid mobile numbers
toll-free numbers (area codes 800, 877)
some Voice over IP (VOIP) phone numbers (including Cricket, MetroPCS)

Unfortunately there really isn't anything you can do about it. Craigslist is a free site so they really don't have much in the way of customer service.
