Batteries For 10 Year Old Power Tools Discontinuted.

My boyfriend has 3 drills and 1 circular saw manufactured by craftsman that was purchased approximately 10 years ago. He is in the lock smith business and uses nothing but the best when it comes to his equipment. However, we are in a very disappointing situation at this time. We have these products, which are still in perfectly good shape, and battieries for them have been discontinued. This was quite a disappointment considering the amount of money we have spent over the years for such a good to now discover they are no good to us. My question is does Craftsman offer any kind of compensation to customers in situation like this. We would be more than willing to mail the items back to the company or take into a local Sears location if something can be done. I can't imagine the price of the products and then having to throw them away after 10 years of usage. Your promptness to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
