Craftsman Hammer Drill # 315.115430

When driving long screws, I set the torque setting to max but will not drive the screws into the wood. I have to change to the hammer drill mode before they will be driven all the way. The torque adjustment seems out of adjustment. Is there a way to reset the 2 to 24 torque settings. I have had this about 1 year with very little use but cannot find the sales receipt. I purchased thru the Sears outlet online, do they possible have a record of the sales?
