Need Help With Finding A Part

i am looking for a inexpensive way to hook this computer to my phillips hd tv for viewing computer screen on tv. i have order the so called adapter from hp and it does not work. i must have a older hdmi connection on the right side of computer. i have been working on this for 4 months now. i am getting fustrated and ready to give up. this is my last try. PLEASE HELP. thank you sherye

HDMI ports are all the same, so your computer must not have HDMI ports. If your computer has a VGA port you should be able to hook it up through VGA to the television.
