If warranty is already gone, then I suggest opening device and testing components within. One that makes noise is the Inverting Transformer - it way even be that some of it's windings are loose - they will make that noise or the core is cracked/or on it's half connections makes that noise.
To repair it you possibly would be good with epoxy glueing the core tightly together, or even getting some lacker - name for which I do not know being foreign, which will go deep into winding and solidify it still.
That is assuming that the device is working well functionally, despite the noise.
If it makes this noise and does not give out any power, then most likely there is a short in the windings of transformer or on its circuitry on output.
