Cobra do not mention flashing red charge light, but this almost always means that a charger is unable to charge a battery (fault condition). Firstly, make sure you are using the correct power pack with the unit. If you use a power pack/ charger that has a lower rating, this may happen. If you are using the original power pack, the likely problem is a bad battery inside the unit. It should be checked by a technician. Any electronics tech can check them for you.
