Let's not use the extender CD disk. Please download and install the ExtenderSetup program at the website below, and follow the steps in that program and see if it works:

If that does not work, do the followings:

1. With the power cord connected to the extender, press & hold the reset button (under the power button/switch) on the extender for about 15 seconds, then release.

2. If you use a laptop, please disconnect the wireless on the laptop.

3. Connect an Ethernet/network cable from the extender to the computer.

4. Connect the wireless to the extender's network name (not the router's) if it's shown.

5. Open your browser, i.e., Chrome or Internet Explorer, and it should show the login / set up page; enter admin for both the username and password XXXXX prompted. If it does not show the set up page, please go to the page http://192.168.1.1 and log in.

6. At that page, follow the instructions to set up your extender, then once it's done, remove the Ethernet/network cable, then move the extender to where you want, and connect any wireless device.
