My Brake Lights Stay On Even When The Car Is Off

There is a switch at the top of your brake pedal that controls the brake lights. If that switch is defective or out of adjustment, the brake lights will stay on.
The switch should be attached with a bracket. You can adjust it by bending that bracket. If they stay on all the time, you need to bend the bracket down to shut the brake lights off. Just bend it a little at a time until the lights go off.
If that doesn't work, the switch is bad and you will need to replace it.
One other note. Your brake lights will kill your battery in a few hours if they're on with the car not running. Disconnect the battery if you don't solve the problem ASAP.
