Chevy Cobalt Clutch Problems

Why at 21,000 miles my clutch should go. I have looked up and found this is a reoccurring problem in the cobolts for many years and is blamed on the owner. I have been driving manual cars for 30 years and have never had a clutch replaced, of course none have been a Chevy. I cannot seem to get help anywhere. Probably the first and last time I buy a Chevy
