Have A 4x4 Chev Suburban The Steering Arm Has Striped It Threads At The Couplin

at the couplig connection,  the last 9 - 10 piece is the striped one and is attached to the wheel housing. is this a backyard repair or do parts need to be pressed in? any help? Thanks
