How To Change The Third Brake Light On A 2009 Chevrolet Malibu

You mean the high mount brake light. First, there are no bulbs to change. It's lifetime. It also works from the BCM (body control module ) . It's located in the battery box. Remove the battery box cover, and remove the BCM fuse box cover. Check fuse # 47. If still operatable remove relay # 49 . All these numbers are on the inside lid of this box cover. You can also use the scan code on the box inside to recieve a detailed schematic of the panel and wiring. "Remove the relay and replace it back in postion several times. If the relay is reliable, the light will come back on. Once the high mount comes back on, and your sure the relay works, use a little electric grease on the relay." "NOT DI ELECTRIC GREASE ". That promotes non- continuity !  Charlie
