Stuck In Park?

I have a 2009, Chevy HHR LT, automatic transmission. The past 4 days the first time I start my car the gear shift won't come out of park. I have managed (eventually) to get it out each time & once I do get it out it works fine. It will continue to work as long as I don't take the key out of the ignition. Once I have taken the key out if I re-start my car it will be stuck in park again!! Any idea?? Thanks! JC
