You'll have to remove the steering wheel to access the steering wheel lock mechanism. Removing the air bag is the tricky part. You don't want it going off in your face. Google how to do do it safely before attempting it. You'll also need a steering wheel puller. Not a hard job to to, but it does take time to do it.
