How Do You Adjust The Journal Roll So It Comes Up Higher When Rung

It depends whether you have it set to journal or receipt mode. If set to receipt mode, it will feed extra lines so it can be torn off. If it is set to journal mode, it will save paper by leaving out the line feeds since it is only winding on to the internal teke-up reel.
