How Do I Delete A Fax That Is Stored In Fax Memory?

I sent a fax that was not picked up by the intended recipient.  Now it apparently is still in the machine's memory, and the FAX Memory light is on, which tells me the machine is  poised to resend the stored fax.  I'm sure if I hit redial, it would try again send the fax, which I don't want to happen.  How do I cancel that?  Even if I turn the machine off, and back on, the FAX Memory light stays on.
