Airprint Worked Once, But Now Printer Does Not Appear.

Set up my new PIXMA MX712.  Prints wirelessly from my Windows laptop.  Printed once from my iphone with airprint.  Then went to try from ipad, but no airprint printer was recognized.  Went back to my iphone...same result.  Shut down printer and router, and the printer showed up again on my iphone.....But subsequently doesn't show up again on either apple device.
