Support Error 5100
recently I got paper stuck in my printer but I removed it and it's been saying support error 5100 sense and I have no idea how to fix this

To try and resolve the error, please follow these steps:
1. With a flashlight or other bright light, please check the paper feed area of the printer and verify that there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that may be causing the error.
2. Look inside of the printer where the inks are located and ensure that there are no obstructions in there that may be causing the print head not to move freely.
3. Remove and reseat all of the ink cartridges in the printer.
Once the above steps have been performed, if you still experience the error, please try cleaning the encoder film of the printer by following the steps located at the link below:

Pixma MX472
I went through all the off/on, clean encoder film, ink out and in. Still has error. Slid the ink cartridge carrier all the way until the white tray lifted up against the ink cartridges, then without closing the small ink door I closed the long front cover (which closed the small ink door too) and now the printer is back without the 5100 error. The print is not as clean but I attribute that to messing with the encoder film.
