Pixma Mx472 Can't Scan, Wired Or Wireless
I have a canon pixma mx472 to an Acer Pc with Windows 8.1 When I try to scan comes up ' no scan driver driver' Is this on the start-up disc. Have looked int he divice file, and show the printer and fax, should there be a scan as well

Hello blugrsr,
Canon suggests using the My Image Garden software for scanning items.
You can download the software from Canon's Support Website for your printer model located <a href="http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mx_series/pixma_mx472#DriversAndSoftware"rel="nofollow">here</a> Then follow these steps:
- Click on Drivers and Software inside the box
- In dropdown box choose your Operating System, which would be Windows 8.1 for you
- Scroll down to Software and click on the plus sign to open the submenu
- Click on the My Image Garden to download and install onto your system
- Once installation complete, open the My Image Garden program and you should be able to scan using this program with your printer
