My Printer Refuses To Print In Black And White And Keeps Trying To Use The Color

My color ink is out but the black is full. It was printing just fine in just black and white when I checked off that box. All of a sudden it started trying to print in color even though I have the black and white box checked. It is refusing to copy or print in black and white and gives me a message I HAVE to replace the blue. I don't want to replace my color inks just now. Help!

I'm sorry, but you will have to follow Canon's instructions. Your machine will not print black without some blue ink, strange though that may seem.
