Why Won't My Pixma Mg5320 Print On Mp101 Paper?

The PIXMA MG5320 is equipped to handle the thicker matte paper, MP101, also from Canon. After several attempts, the printer still does not print on the paper and jams with the page half way out of the output end. Why won't it print on the matte paper?

The machine cannot handle paper heavier than 105 gm2 (28 lb). Sorry.
