Communication Errors...

My brand new printer was working for the first 30 pages or so. Now I have trouble. When I go to print, it says it is off line. It is not. When I use the WiFI, it did print, but now says communication error or printer off line. When I use the cable, it does the same now. I have reinstalled and still it is just as touchy...it worked last night for 8 pages. Then I go to do it again tonight, and nothing. I tried to read the manual on the CD but it will not read it. I have a MacBook, all soft ware update as of 2011. And do not say it is becuase of a Macbook because that is the easy way out! Please help.
