How Do I Turn Off The Check Engine Light?

Have had the car serviced and dealer cannot find any problem. Was told to turn off the light if it came back on and see if it comes on again. Consensus was that the actual light might be the problem. I have tried turning it off according to the manual instructions with no success.

unhook the battery for 2 hours and hook back up code should be gone-if not go to pep boys,autozone or advanced auto and they will hook up and diagnois for free-cheers Denny
