2005 Buick Lacrosse Battery Terminal Clamp

abrupt onset of multiple electrical issues, including non-start. battery shows 13.5 volts. after checking fuses, i thoroughly cleaned terminals, applied lubricant. battery terminal clamp on negative post is not adjustable and is not tight, it can be manually moved around the post. sporadic connection, repeatedly failing with no power. I can touch the cable/clamp, and battery kicks in. is there any way I can improve connection without having to replace the cable/clamp setup? thank-you for any help!I truly appreciate your website!kara
