Thread Caught

I have a piece of thread caught on my PE 770 around the number 3 slot for threading--it will move up and down but will not come out---have not used much pressure for fear of breaking---think it may be around a little wire--maybe tension wire but not sure of this--I can see the bunched thread, but do not know how to get it out. Any suggestions. Thanks
