Plastic Bobbin Spool Breaks

I have overcome the problem by not filling the bobbin spool more than oh, 3/4 full....but if I run the bobbin winder until the machine slows down, the plastic bobbin spool flies apart and the machine speeds up again with thread tangling under and over the broken bobbin and winding spindle. It only JUST began doing this...I allowed it to break 3 bobbins, thinking they were perhaps old or otherwise inferior, but after the 3rd break, I was relatively certain that at least one of the broken bobbins were among the 4 that came with the machine and that they were therefore undeniably sound and the correct size.
