Downloaded Designs To Usb, But Will Not Open In Embroidery Machine

Occasionally a design you download on to the USB stick might not open on the PE770.  First verify that the design is of type .PES.  Then verify that the design you picked fits the hoop.  If it's over the exact dimensions of the hoop (roughly 5 x 7 inches) then the machine will NOT open it.  Second there seems to be some limit on the number of stitches in a file. Something around 30K.  I have seen 27K designs work. I'll bet one of these reasons caused the problem. The third remote possibility is the file is corrupted on your USB stick. I would try re-formating the USB stick just like you would an external drive or the old floppies, then move the files back on to it and try again.
